>>I tend to apply the golden rule to video-making.
If I don't want to watch it, I'm not going to post it on YouTube.
Seems pretty straightforward...
but that's why I don't get VEDA.
"Vlog Every Day in April" is a tradition in the YouTubing world
where you vlog every single day in the month of April...
Guess that name was pretty straightforward, I didn't really have to explain it
It's kinda like NaNoWriMo or ScriptFrenzy for vloggers
Except unlike those other two, you share what you make,
and you're suppose to be sharing it every single day.
You're not just making a vlog,
you're not just recording video,
you're not just editing video,
You're actually posting it to the Internet every single day,
and that takes it to a whole different level.
I could see doing something like, vlog every day in a given week.
Vlog Every Day in The First Week of April
That's good, it forces you work, forces you to get content not only done,
but up on the Internet, every day, for seven days.
And then there's seven videos online that you made happen
And if nobody likes them, okay, well they can skip over them.
You're not required to make things that people like,
you can just make things for yourself,
but when you're talking about 30...
videos...
That's just kind of a mess to me.
Now maybe there's something about VEDA that makes it different
from NaNoWriMo and ScriptFrenzy that I'm not getting
and if you know what it is, please tell me.
I don't want to appear to be giving anybody a hard time,
or telling anyone they're dumb for participating in VEDA,
I just genuinely don't understand the appeal, and I would like to.
If you're a vlogger or a viewer and you really enjoy VEDA,
either the creation aspect or what other people make,
please comment below, tell me what you like about it,
tell me what it does for you,
tell me what you get out of it,
I genuinely want to understand the appeal.
No sarcasm, I promise.
I guess that's it. Let's just do that.
That's fine. That can be good.
