Hey guys Photoshop Pro Help here and today I'm going to be teaching you how to remove tanning and sunburn lines
now this is fairly straight forward and only takes a couple of steps
so first things first is we are going to look at our image
and as you can see this woman has really bad sun burn
and really bad tan lines
so to get rid of them it's really simple, we are going to go up to IMAGE
we're going to go to ADJUSTMENTS
so image - adjustments and then go down to REPLACE COLOUR
now what we are going to do is replace the lighter shades of
skin
with the actual redness
of the other bits
so we need to tell photoshop what we want to select
so we are going to go over to
the plus dropper tool
and go and select
the colour that we do want to replace
so you can hold down SHIFT for this
and select a few colours
now you want to make sure you have localized colour clusters on
so this tells photoshop not to go round all different places
and muck up the image
so we are just going to go and select a few
see if you look at your diagram right here
you have black-and-white now white means the stuff that is going to change
and the black will not change at all
so we only want these lines here, the tanning lines
to be white
so it will take a little bit of time to go and select
what you want
so we're just going to
take away what we don't want
that should be ok for here
and then we are going to go down and play around with the hue, saturation and lightness
now first things first we are going to go down and click this little box here
that has the colours
and we are going to change by
clicking a few different colours and as you can see it will change
so we just need to pick the one nearest to it
so around about
there will do
somewhere around about there
does take a little while
it wont
exceptionally change from here we do have to play around with the cursors
so click ok
and then we are just going to play around
with the saturation and lightness
round about here
as you can see it is changing a lot
now it is really to do with your selection and
how much you choose
now this will work for images that are really different in colour so if your tan line is
is very similar to the sun burn then it is not really going to change at all
but if it is a dramatic colour so you had the lightness here
and the redness of the skin
then it will change but you will have to take a while just to play around with
the technique and get it right
so once you do have it properly done click ok
and then you will be left with something like this, obviously this isn't totally
the effects you will have to play around with it
but you will be left with a few little lines
and then you can go over to your patch tool it might be hiding underneath the
spot healing brush tool
on the left hand side, click and hold
and just take out certain bits and replace them
now I will show you what you can make it look like
so I'm going to reveal back to how it was
so this is how it was and this is how you can get it
before
and after before and after
see as i said with a lot more time on your hands you will get it perfect
so if I jump over to this over image
as you can see he has really bad sunburn
and we have got a lot of tanning lines up here
and with a lot more time
you can get it to look like this
it blends in perfectly and nothing changes from the background
so as you can see it works for a range of images as long as there is a total
different in skin colour between the sunburn and the tan line
it will work perfect
so that's pretty much how it goes
go and have some fun with this and go and remove all the sun tan
and sunburn from your photos and please comment, rate and subscribe
go check out the website and I'll see you next time guys bye for now.
