Integrated Learning-Living Communities… because college is more than the classroom.
Entering college is a major life change.
We know this and want to help. That is why UD offers students Integrated Learning-Living
Communities. They help make students’ transition to college seamless.
Want to make friends, have fun, and get more out of classes? Then join an ILLC. They just
make sense.
What is an Integrated Learning-Living Community? It is a group of first-year students who are
interested in the same things, live in the same residence hall, and take a class or two
together that count for credit and toward graduation requirements.
These communities have fun on their floors, plus have built in study-buddies. As a result,
members end up with higher GPAs than their peers. Plus, they get to explore new opportunities
both on and off campus.
Choices include:
Building Communities for Social Justice
Business and Marianist Values
CORE: Human Values in a Pluralistic Culture
Curiosity in the Classroom
Self and Community in the 21st Century
Sustainability, Energy, and the Environment
Women in Science and Engineering
and Writing and the Arts
You will find the best fit for you.
ILLCs help students make friends, have fun, and do well in college.
So consider joining one. Because college is more than the classroom.
