Well, Braintown components are six dice, which every player will use each turn
and 39 cards. These cards are divided into three groups
Here we have 30 cards for the population, 5 cards for objectives and 4 cards for First Blood bonuses.
In order to win, each player must accomplish an objective. As you can see, each objective is represented graphically
There are four similar objectives in structure, with two icons
And this different one. These cards are telling us, as cerebronians, which groups of inhabitants must be eliminated for us to win.
In this case, Visitors and Military. Visitors and VIPs, Criminal and VIPS and Criminals and Military.
This other objective consists in killing three of each group. As long as casualties are made by all players for all groups of inhabitants
you don't have to eliminate all the cards for your objective. Player have common targets.
There are 6 stacks for casualties. First player having all his or her objective in the casualties stacks, wins the game.
The First Blood cards are depictions of a die. You can download this images from my website for free in different colors for your own games.
As everybody wants to eliminate cards but, at the same time, everybody wants to be stealthy, these cards are a reward for the players who eliminate the first four cards.
These cards are randomly picked and can be used during the game to change the result of a die to the number in the card.
If you have this card because you eliminated one of the first inhabitants, you keep it face down until you need a high result in a thrown die (i.e.: change an one into a five)
And the core stack of cards in the game are the character set or population of Braintown.
This printed version is a beta release, so design and drawings are not final but they are useful to explain how to play.
If you notice it, every card has a similar structure. A drawing of the character, his or her name, down in the right corner there is a logo for the group. In this case, Law & Order.
And here you have difrerent texts with numeric values on the left. On every turn, players will be allowed to take some cards
Some of those cards will be usable and some won't. It will depend on player's will and on accumulated points.
Points are accumulated by using dice, but I will explain this in other video. The thing is: spending 7 points you can use the top ability and spendins 11 you can use the bottom one.
All activation costs are 7 or 11. If you realise it, in this card, top text is dark and bottom text is white. That is because they are different kind of effects.
The top one is a permanent effect. If the card is face down, nothing happens but since it was face up, that text applies for everybody, all the time.
Bottom one, the white text, has only a one-time effect right after the card is activated. Player who spends 11 points eliminates a criminal or the Sheriff at that moment.
This card, which has been used, remains face up, so the top text applies from that moment to everybody until the card is eliminated or placed face down.
This happens with all cards. This card, also have a special effect at the bottom
In this card we also have an extra text in the bottom line which represents a special power (Judge is immune to the Assasin)
This text is not always present. In the Deputy, for example, there is no special power.
And the last attribute in the card is the defense attribute, represented by some hearts at the bottom-left corner.
These hearts are used only if the card is attacked by a Unleashed Cerebronian.
In that case, the number of hearts is used as the difficulty for the attack
And these are the card types in the game. Thanks for watching!
