We've all had it happen. One nasty ghost takes up residence in one of our nice washable hoses
and there's no way to get it out. There is a way. It's lemon juice.
Hey guys. It's Paul here for Hookah.org. I've got another how-to video for you. This one
is for the lemon juice method for cleaning out a hookah hose.
I don't have much lemon juice left. You can hear there's only a little in there, but that's
actually all you really need for this. I'm using ReaLemon 100% lemon juice from Concentrate.
Natural strength. This means that it's not watered down but also it means usually no
added sugar whatsoever. You don't want added sugar; you don't want to use lemonade basically.
Sugar is just food for microbes; you don't want to invite the mold in. Mold is the one
sure way to ruin a hookah hose. The process is really simple. You can see
I got my hose tips here, I got my lemon juice, open up the lemon juice and just pour it into
the hose. You don't need very much. If you're really
careful, you can use a funnel to get it right in the tip here and be a little more accurate.
All you do at this point is swish it around. If you want, you can cover the ends, one end
it, and make sure the lemon juice gets into every part of the hose.
That's pretty much the process. Then from there, it's just a matter of letting it rest.
You want to let it rest so that the host itself isn't going to fall over. I personally like
to support it with my flower jar. That's really it. As you can see, this is
the Social Smoke professional lounge hose, which is a little longer and a little more
awkward to do this with some other hoses, but it still works the same.
I'm going to let this sit for about 10 minutes and I'm going to come back, swish it around
some more and let it sit for another 10 minutes. After that, the hose should taste somewhat
like lemon and the ghosts should be busted. Be right back and I'll show you some smoke.
I'm back. Wish you guys had smell-o-vision but my hookah and my hose are tasting great.
There's a little bit of a lemon flavor but that faded two puffs in. I'm currently smoking
a strong berry flavor, which is very nice. This has no ghosts; it is thoroughly busted.
Just clean flavor. Try out the lemon juice method for cleaning
washable hoses and I think you'll appreciate the results. Make sure to go down below, like
and subscribe, give us that thumbs up. Make sure to go to Hookah.org so that you
can check out the forums, so that you can participate in the conversations, so that
you can get the details for our contests, which are going on all the time thanks to
SocialSmoke.com. Happy smoking.
