D.I.Y : Embroidery Thread Storage Box
Hi everyone so today we will transform a disorganized box into an embroidery thread storage box.
Back to the beginning and empty the box.
Measure the length and depth of the box.
This is a Glossybox measuring 8 inches long and 2,5 inches deep
Take a fairly thick cardboard,
Carton packaging such as biscuits or cereal cartons will do. I found this in a shirt packaging to hold the garment in place.
Transfers inches on the carton to form a rectangle,
Add 1 inche, ie the rectangle must be 9 inche long and 2,5 inches wide
Cut
We have added 1 inche, now create on each side an edge of 0,5 inche.
Fold down an side, fold top the otherside
This is optional, but you can customize the carton with fabric.
I use a glue gun because it is faster but a normal glue will also work.
The box is 6 inches wide. Every 2 inches draw dots.
Do this on the othersides and also draw small dots inside the box every 2 inches.
Then connect the two points together. Do this over the entire box.
Applying glue on the lines. Take a carton and paste it. Rely heavily for stick. Do the same on the other side.
Do the same for the second "separator".
I decided to make my own cardboards bobbins. I take one as an example and I carry the line on a carton.
I've put a cardboard bobbin pattern in information bar, click into the link to download and see the cardboard bobbin pattern. With the software Word, you can easily change the size of the pattern.
I drew several
Here's what it should look like. Cut.
Take a cardboard bobbin. Cut two slits.
Select thread of your choice and write its number on cardboard top.
Insert the end of the thread into a slot and you'll surround the cardboard bobbin with the rest of thread.
It fits easily. And voila ! That's what it looks like when properly stored.
You can also put your jewelry your brushes your makeup
I hope that you enjoyed it. See you in the next video. Bye bye ^^
