today we're going to be working in Chapter 2 at the fitness for life text
book
the chapter is titled safe and smart
physical activity. first let me show you how to access the textbook
in Google Books from the Google Page click on MORE
click on books and in the research
browser area
type and fitness for life
our textbook is the first one
and there is your fitness for life textbook you may want to flag this
or save it in your favorites. come up here
and click on safe and smart physical activity on page 22
you will need to read chapter 2 this week
it starts on page 23 goes through 41
you also need to do
the chapter questions on page 28
and 41.
you will need to define the vocabulary from section 2.1 and 2.2
to it is up by the lesson objectives right here
on pages 23
and 32 you can write the answers out to your questions
and the vocabulary using Google Docs
To access Google Docs start
you start from the Google homepage or
from this page go up and click on Google
drive. come over here
to the left and click on
on create. you want to create a document.
and you may type out all the answers to your work right here
make sure
you submit the link to your work in my email
or in the Dropbox. That link would be

with today's lesson
our objectives will be to determined a personal readiness
for physical activity both physically
and medically and determine how to prevent injury
and what to do once injury occurs. In the text you
it will talk about a PAR-Q
this is a PAR-Q you can use this
or you can Google a blank form but I do want you to fill it out and submit it
with the rest
your chapter homework through Google Docs as stated in the
objectives a PAR-Q is a common assessment
used by medical professionals to determine
health for fitness I want you
to get an idea of the questions a doctor would ask you for activity readiness
if you have any questions regarding Safe and smart
physical activity please email me or post on the discussion board
because if you have a question I'm sure others will too
it is important to exercise but being smart and taking a
care of yourself is also very important we only have one body to live in
