Hi I'm Josh Ellsworth with Stahls' CADCUT Direct and this is "An Ode to the Heat Press".
Heat presses have been the cornerstone of businesses for years.
From people operating out of their back room to their garage, to multimillion dollar businesses.
There are some businesses using a heat press to pump out a thousand garments a day.
Trust me, I visited them.
So, I got one of the coolest presses that I've ever operated today in our office here.
It's a custom paint job by Stahls' Hotronix on their Hotronix Clam heat press.
So take a look at this press.

Let's give you a tour.
This particular press has some great features.
Whenever you're selecting a heat press, you need a heat press that measure time, temperature
and pressure consistently.
So first let's start with time.
That's simple.
This heat press has a push button timer so you can simply hit the mode button, digital
display; adjust your time up and down just like you would your oven.
It actually has 2 time settings.
So if you have a 2 hit application adjust your time accordingly.
As far as temperature goes it measures temperature right on the digital display.
Hit the mode button; simply set your temperature to whatever your transfer or CADCUT film calls
for.
And the pressure, this one has digital display.
So when I lock it down it actually reads pressure out on the heat press.
Now something cool about this press, is that all the pressure is adjusted form over the
center.
So it actually has a pressure adjustment know right in the center of the press, which gives
you even pressure from the center out.
So you simply adjust this clockwise to raise the pressure... or counter clockwise to lighten
the pressure.
When you lock it down, it's going to read a new number based on how you adjusted the
press.
Some other cool things about this press.
It has an automatic opening feature.
When it finishes counting down it automatically opens for you.
Also it has a 3/4 inch top heater which retains heat nice from application to application.
So if you're a high volume shop this is going to fit your needs.
Look at the heating element.
The heating element in this is micro-wound throughout the heater.
So you're actually getting even space and even heat anywhere on this platen.
Some of the import presses, the cheaper presses, don't have that feature...and when your names
on the line you need accuracy from every part of this heating
element otherwise your transfer is going to wash off.
That's important.
This particular press has a laser cut steel framework.
So if I turn it on its side, you can see all the framework on this is laser cut steel,
so it's very durable...it's very rugged...there's minimal welds.
Also it has a medium density lower platen.
So it gives you just enough density that when you are applying low to firm pressure applications,
it's going to deliver accuracy throughout this bottom platen.
Some other features.
Interchangeable bottom platens while we're there.
This particular platen, you can flip the machine on its side while it's off of course, unscrew
the bottom piece, this pulls off.
You can interchange it with a 6 by 10 inch...8 by 10 inch...7 inch round, any size platen
that you can get from Hotronix, you can interchange with this.
It has an electromagnet sensor that helps with the automatic release.
It also helps when you're locking it down, so you're not killing your arm.
When you go to lock it down it helps you lock it down.
It's very easy, so it's not going to wear on your shoulder when you're doing a lot of
applications.
This press has a custom paint job.
One of my favorites and built specifically for CADCUT direct dot com.
Pick a heat press, get started with customization, Thank You Stahls' Hotronix, I hope you enjoyed
the video.
