Hey everyone, my name is Kylie and this
is Miss Kyle Reads and today I'm going
to tell you all of the books that I read
in 2016.
I completed a total of 72
things in 2016 and that includes 22
ebooks, 5 audio books, and 9 rereads as
well as some novellas and short stories.
Can you see how sad my bookshelves look?
That's because all of the books that I
read this year are literally on my desk.
This could be a doozy of a video so I'm
only going to tell you the book, the
author, and my star rating that I gave it.
If you want a little bit more in depth
about each book, I will leave my wrap ups
for the months down below or you can
just head on over to my channel and
check them out. Here we go!
The first book I completed in 2016 was a
Storm of Swords by George RR Martin, the
third book in a Song of Ice and Fire and
I gave this one a 5 out of 5 stars.
I then read a Sea of Trolls by Nancy
Farmer and I gave that one a 3.5 out of
5 stars. A Shadow in Summer by Daniel
Abraham and I gave that one 5
stars.
I then read the illustrated edition of
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
and I gave this a 5 stars. The Magicians'
Guild by Trudi Canavan and I gave that
one a 4.5 stars.
I then reread Harry Potter and the
Chamber of Secrets and I gave this a 5
out of 5 stars. And I also read the
Novice by Trudi Canavan and I gave that
one a 4.5 stars to round off
January. In February, I started with Harry
Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by JK
Rowling and I gave this a 5 out of 5
stars. Then I read the High Lord by Trudi
Canavan and I gave that a 5 out of 5
stars. I read Heir of Fire by Sarah J Maas and
I gave that a 4 out of 5 stars.
I also completed Grave Mercy by Robin
Lafevers and gave that a 3 out of
5 stars. I reread Harry Potter and the
Goblet of Fire by JK Rowling and I gave
this a 5 out of 5 stars.
I then read the Grownup by Gillian
Flynn and I gave this a 4 out of 5 stars.
Then I read Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
and I gave this a 4 out of 5 stars.
I finished February by reading Aristotle
and Dante Discover the Secrets of the
Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz and
I gave that a 3 out of 5 stars. To start
off March, I read the Assassin's Blade by
Sarah J Maas and gave this a 4 out of 5
stars. Then I read a Darker Shade of
Magic by VE Schwab and gave this a 5 out
of 5 stars.
I also read the Immortal Prince by
Jennifer Fallon and gave that a 3.5 out of
5 stars. Then I read a Gathering of
Shadows by VE Schwab and I gave this a
5 out of 5
stars. I also read a Girl of Fire and Thorns
by Rae Carson and gave that a 3.5 out of
5 stars. Then I read the Lost Hero by
Rick Riordan and gave this a 4.5 out of
5 stars.
I also read Wizard of Earthsea by
Ursula K. Le Guin and gave that a 3 out
of 5 stars. And then I reread Harry
Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and
gave this a 5 out of 5 stars. I rounded
off March by reading the Ice dragon by
George RR Martin and I gave this a 3.5
out of 5 stars.
I started April by reading the Bees
by Laline Paul and I gave this book a 3
out of 5 stars. I then completed Mr.
Penumbra's 24-hour Bookstore by Robin
Sloan that I gave that a 5 out of 5 stars.
Next I completed You by Caroline
Kepnes and I gave this a 4 out of 5 stars.
I then completed an audiobook of a
Feast for Crows by George RR Martin and
gave this a 3 out of 5 stars. I read Bone
Gap by Laura Ruby and I gave that a 4
out of 5 stars. Next is Midwinterblood
by Marcus Sedgwick and I gave this a 3.5
out of 5 stars. Then I read Alcatraz
versus the Evil Librarians by Brandon
Sanderson and gave this a 5 out of 5
stars. And I read Fangirl by Rainbow
Rowell and gave this a 5 out of 5 stars.
I then read the second book in the
Alcatraz versus the Evil Librarians,
Alcatraz versus the Scriveners Bones and
gave this a 5 out of 5 stars. Then I read
Fablehaven by Brandon Mull and gave this a 5
out of 5 stars. I then read Simon vs. the
*** Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
and I gave that a 5 out of 5 stars. I
then read James Potter and the Hall of
Elders Crossing by G. Norman Lippert
which is Harry Potter fanfiction and I
gave this a 4 out of 5 stars.
I finished off April by reading
Forbidden by Tabitha Sazuma and I gave
that a 2 out of 5 stars.
I started off May by reading Eragon by
Christopher Paolini and I gave this a
3.5 out of 5 stars. Then I completed Armada
by Ernest Cline and gave this a 4
out of 5 stars. I then read Noggin by
John Corey Whaley and gave that a 4.5 out
of 5 stars. Then I read Assassin's
Apprentice, the first book in the Farseer
trilogy by Robin Hobb and gave this
a 4 out of 5 stars. I finished off May
by reading a Court of Mist and Fury
by Sarah J Maas and I gave this a 5 out of 5
stars.
I started off June with a reread of the
Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch and gave
this a 5 out of 5 stars. Love this. Then I
read the Last Unicorn by Peter
S Beagle and gave this a 3 out of 5 stars.
Then I completed the Wise Man's Fear by
Patrick Rothfuss and gave this a 5 out
of 5 stars. I ended June by reading the
Slow Regard of Silent Things by Patrick
Rothfuss and gave this a 3 out of 5
stars. The first book I completed in July
was an audiobook of a Dance with Dragons
by George RR Martin and I gave this a 5
out of 5 stars. Then I completed my reread
of Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scott Lynch and
gave this a 5 out of 5 stars. I then read
Queen of Shadows by Sarah J Maas and
gave this a 5 out of 5 stars. Then I
read Shaman's Crossing by Robin Hobb and
gave that a 5 out of 5 stars. I also read
Shadows of Self by Brandon Sanderson and
gave this a 4 out of 5 stars. I then
completed July by reading the False
Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen and I gave
this a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
I started August by reading an audiobook
of Half a King by Joe Abercrombie and I
gave that a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Then I
read the Black Prism by Brent Weeks
and I gave this a 5 out of 5 stars. I
then read Forest Mage by Robin Hobb and
gave that a 4 out of 5 stars. And then I
completed the Way of Shadows by Brent
Weeks and I gave this a 4 out of 5 stars.
I did not complete any books in
September so that's kind of a "Wa, wa ,waaaaa"
moment. I started October by
finishing the Blinding Knife by Brent
Weeks and I gave this a 5 out of 5 stars.
Then I read Jhereg by Stephen Brust and
gave this a 4.5 out of 5 stars. I read
Wolf in White Van by John Darnell and
I gave this a 3 out of 5 stars. Then I
read Promise of Blood by Brian
McClellan and I gave this a 5 out of 5
stars.
I then read Renegade's Magic, the
last book in the Soldier Son trilogy by
Robin Hobb and I gave that book a 3 out
of 5 stars. I ended October by reading
Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi and I gave
this one a 3 out of 5 stars. I started
November by listening to the Way of
Shadows by Brent Weeks and I've never
done that before: two books in one year
so that kind of messed up my Goodreads
challenge but still, I'm counting it as
another read; the Way of Shadows by Brent
Weeks and I gave it a 4.5 stars second
time through. Then I completed the Bands
of Mourning by Brandon Sanderson and I
gave this a 5 out of 5 stars. Then I read
the Emperor's Soul and Mistborn: A
Secret History, which can both be found
in Arcanum Unbounded and I gave
both of those novellas a 5 out of 5
stars. I then read a Betrayal in Winter
by Daniel Abraham and gave that a 5 out
of 5 stars.
I finished November by reading a City
City Stained Red by Sam Sykes and I gave
this a 4 out of 5 stars.
The first thing I completed in December
was the Hope of Elantris by Brandon
Sanderson and I gave that a 4 out of 5
stars. I then read an Autumn War and the
Price of Spring, both by Daniel Abraham
and gave those both 5 out of 5
stars. And the last thing I
finished in 2016 was a reread of Harry
Potter and the Half-Blood Prince which I
gave a 5 out of 5 stars and I'm glad
this was the last thing I finished 2016
off with because this is my favorite in the
Harry Potter series. Wow everyone that
was exciting. My average rating came out to
be 4.3, which I'm pretty excited about
because that means I liked my books.
