A number of Real Madrid's players reported back from international duty with injuries,
notably left-backs Marcelo and Fabio Coentrao. Brazilian Marcelo broke a metatarsal whilst
training for his country's friendly against Japan in Poland last week, while Coentrao
was forced off after just 20 minutes of Portugal's clash with Russia.
"Who is out is out, there is nothing to do about it. These are not quick recoveries where
we might think it is okay they are not playing today, but they will play against Dortmund
or against Mallorca. No. They are going to be out for a long time, and I do not think
it is the right thing for me or the club to do to be making a big drama out of this situation".
Not great news as Jose Mourinho's side attempt to make up ground on Primera Liga leaders,
