Hi, it’s Steve from PartSelect. Today we’re going to show you how to change the ice & water
filter on your refrigerator. Easy job, no tools required; let me show you how it’s
done.
This particular model has a water filter reminder indicator on it, which changes from orange
to red indicating that it needs to be replaced. And we’ve also noticed the flow of water
has decreased, another indication we need to change that filter.
Simply open the refrigerator door, locate it up in the upper right-rear corner, our
filter is there. We need to turn it half a turn to the left and just pull that down.
Now there will be a little bit of water that will come out of there so you can put a little
towel on there, make sure to clean anything on that shelf out of the way.
Discard the old filter, now take our new filter, remove the protective seal on it, and it’s
a good idea to fill this with tap water; saves getting some air lock in your water lines,
when you go to use your dispenser you’ll get some sputter so just fill it with water.
Now that we’ve got it topped off we’ll line this indicator arrow so it’s facing
us, raise it slightly, turn it half a turn to the right, it’s installed, close our
refrigerator door, and as I indicated on this model we do have a water filter indicator
on it. Just press & hold that for about 3 seconds, that will reset it and our repair
is complete.
That’s just how easy it is to change the ice & water filter on your refrigerator; thanks
for watching, and good luck with your repair.
