Hi, this is Frank Radice and we're here for Red Touch Media with out continuing series
on the Future of Content. I'm talking to Angela Zilm from AuraXM. Angela tell me a little
bit about what AuraXM does. So AuraXM is a full service marketing agency
and we partner with clients like Crucell and Red Touch Media on their global tradeshow
programs and events. So we essentially provide a solution, whether it be through a campaign,
a tradeshow booth, augmented reality, an app to get them what they need to their end consumer.
So as the head of Business Development you would come to an event like the Consumer Electronics
Show or the NATPE show and develop content and contacts for various companies?
Yes, that's true, and support them while they're on site because we have to make sure that
we're providing the right solution for them so that they get what they need. So that they
get the return on investment, and that at the end of the day, everyone's happy.
So do you find yourself traveling all the time to these kinds of events? How do you
develop business development contacts for your company?
It's about networking, so, and being honest and just providing the right service that
they might need. So as long as we forge those relationships strongly at the start, then
we can just grow the business and continue to grow their marketing program to benefit
them. So, I saw the work that your company did for
Red Touch Media at MIPCOM. Tell me a little bit about that particular project. How did
it come to be? What did you do with it? And what were you trying to accomplish?
Well, the goal was to make them stand out and differentiate them from some of the other
exhibitors in the hall. We provided a turn-key solution - so from start to finish design,
full build and execution in Cannes, France. We had on-site support, we had a private screening
room built for them, a meeting room, we had everything designed essentially with their
brand in mind and a theme so that it was welcoming. It was a "recharge lounge" that would allow
people who were at the show to go there, get their feet off or whatever and just recharge,
relax and feel like they had a place to go to get what they needed to at the show. Which
is network, recharge, etc. Yeah. So, I know that you're a Toronto based company
right? Yes.
So you probably know better than anyone, a tremendous amount of union involvement in
any one of these large tradeshows. So how do you work that out?
So we have a unionized team ourselves, whether it be in Las Vegas or in Orlando or in Toronto,
Canada. And then we have our partners globally. So all of our team is highly skilled to provide
that support on site so that no matter where the show is - whether it's in Brazil, Geneva,
Cannes, France, Montreal, Toronto - our team is able to provide the support and solutions
so that it's very easy for the client, stress free, and they're happy at the end of the
day. So you are truly a global company?
Completely. We've been around for just over 25 years. It's still a family run business
which is great, great community, great network, great culture. So I have nothing but positive
things to say about AuraXM. This is Frank Radice for the Future of Content
series. We're here with Angela Zilm from AuraXM. See ya next time.
