today we will paranthas from sprouted moong dal.
ingredients required for making sprouted moong dal are:
dough - (kneaded)
sprouted moong - 1/2 cup (soaked fo rmaking sprouts)
coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
asafoetida- 1 pinch
ree chilly - 1-2 pinch
salt- 1/2 tsp (as per taste)
ginger - 1/2 inch piece
green chilly - 1
green coriander- 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
oil - for making paranthas
coarsley ground sprouted moong dal,add all spices and then make stuffing for the paranthas.
we have grinded sprouted moong now we will roast them.
for roasting add 1/2 tsp oil in the pan.
add cumin seeds and asafoetida into it.
after sauting cumin seeds add coriander powder,grounded moong sprouts,salt and red chilly.
mix and roast the stuffing.
we have grounded green chilly and ginger along with sprouted moong dal.
stuffing for making paranthas is ready.
take little amount of dough and make ball from it.
dust the ball with dry flour and roll into 2.5-3 inch diameter circle.
spread some oil on top the rolled parantha.
layer half the amount of stuffing then dough.
lift up the parantha from all sides and then close it.
flaten the parantha and dust it with dry flour.
by flatting it like this parantha don't splatter as stuffing spread evenly all around.
if you feel that the parantha is sticking to the rolling pin then dust it again with dry flour.
keep the parantha thick and roll with utter care.
we have rolled the parantha now we will roast it.
spread some oil on the preheated tawa and place the parantha on tawa.
parantha is roasted from beneath now spread some oil on it.
spread some oil on this side as well and press gently from all sides like this.
reduce the flame so that parantha gets crusty.
parantha is ready.
take off the parantha from flame and place it on bowl kept above a plate.
if you wil roast parantha on high flame it will get roasted quickly but will remain soft.
if you want to make crusty parantha then roast it on low flame by pressing it like this.
sprouted moong dal parathas are ready.
prepare sprouted moong paranthas in breakfast an serve with
pickle,chutney,raita,aloo tamatar sabzi or any sabzi you like eating.
