- Stefano, there was no better place for Ferrari’s recovery.
How are you feeling?
- It’s clear that after a result like this, we are all very happy.
I’m especially pleased for everyone who has worked so hard at home.
So my first dedication is to everyone
who is involved in the team in any way,
who work in such an intense way.
I think they should all enjoy this because they’ve deserved it.
Having said that, what I’ve always said still applies
and we aren’t changing our tune.
We are very happy because Monza represents a special grand prix for us.
We are at home and it was truly emotional to see all those people
under the podium singing the national anthem.
But I repeat, the only positive thing is that we’ve achieved our objective,
which was to reduce the gap to the leaders.
- A perfect weekend, also because Hamilton and Webber,
who were at the head of the classification, lost ground…
- Yes, this has been the characteristic of the entire year.
All the races have been very different and it’s a championship that is very tight.
If drivers don’t bring home points, from here every point is very important.
It happened to us at the last race, this time it’s their turn.
It will be a game of chess and we’ll have to keep pushing till the end.
- Let’s analyse the remaining five races before the end of the championship.
At which races must Ferrari do well
and where is it more about damage limitation
due to the specifications of the circuit?
- It’s difficult to say because we’ve seen how quickly things can change around.
Certainly at Singapore we expect Red Bull to return
to the levels that we are used to, also a competitive McLaren.
We will seek to bring along modifications
that we hope will go in the right direction.
Then I have to say that it’s difficult to do forecasts for individual grands prix
and I don’t want to compromise myself.
The important thing is that we are there
and we pick up more points race by race.
- Alonso was great today, but he said that the race was won in the pit stop.
So the honour also goes to the team here at the track.
- Certainly. Ours is a sport where we have need of great talent
not only in the drivers, but also great engineers
to make the car and great guys to carry out the pit stops.
It’s a team sport and there’s not much more to say.
- Thank you and good luck…
- Thanks to all our fans.
