O hai!
In the 1960 the LEGO introduced the train series
First the 4.5V series,
blue tracks
The powering was enabled throught batteries placed behind the locomotive
After that came the 12V series
Gray tracks
Power was supplied by additional powerin track
From this era came quite interesting sets,
Shaped like nowadays LEGO trains
The 4.5 series ware just simple constructions
Made just from couple of bricks
In 1991 LEGO launched the 9V series. And it was a milestone.
Even nowadays the box cars remind of those years
The '90 in Poland is the perioid after dissasambly
of the Soviet Union, and LEGO's were more available
but at the times, you were young and you could
just look at the sets, throught a shop window...
anyway,
The 4556 Station, comes from that perioid,
It was introduced in 1999, and thats over 10 years ago,
And it is stil a nice set
The best thing about the old sets, is
That when you drop a set, it dissasembly into a milion peaces,
But nowadays, when you drop a set,
It dissasembly into just few of them...
Oldschool rocks
Let's look on 4556 LEGO Train Station.
From the beginning of the series,
LEGO launched about 8 to 9 stations
Starting from very simple constructions,
Ending on souch sophisticated sets as
2150...

foundation for the building
Some barriers,
And lots of round blocks for the pillars
Nowadays LEGO would probobly just made
One-elemented pillars...
There are seven minifigs in this set
And a yellow Trike, able to pull the trailer
And ofcourse the widows with stickers
Lots of details, like:
Money, pizza, glasses, clock,
even luggage...
The instruction is the size of A4 block of paper
At the front the picture of the set,
Cool photo, no rendering
Inside - obviously - the steps for building set
No errors found here
All is readable, becouse of its size
After all thease years
Just one stapler has deatached
But everythig else works fine...
At the end there are showned pictures
Of the set,
"Peapole in motion" style
And the possibilities of making
Alternative models
The box dimentions are as showned
At the sides there are photos of the set
The box is solid and nice
Rear shows the alternative models.
OK, lets build!
