Alright, good evening everyone and welcome to the first gym in X and Y I'm Refreeze and
this is the bug gym which is fun oh (sigh) there are a couple of dead-ends so I'm just
gonna show you the quickest way through. You start out here, then you go through, you meet
this guy who has a level ten Ledyba, then, you can actually go around this guy through
this way, and he has a level ten Spewpa which is the evolved form of Sewpa? I don't know,
it's two in the morning and I just met all of these new Pokemon. Uhh, she has level 7
Pokemon so no big deal. But then you've got the Gym Leader here and she is fun, oh. I
should switch out. Uhh, two Pokemon you really wanna bring with you on this one, you can
choose between them. You don't have to bring both. Uhh, I really recommend Fletchling and
Pikachu for this fight. There we go... Alright, so... Bug Gym Leader, she starts out with
Surskit, bug and water type. You really wanna use like Fletchling or Pikachu. I'm gonna
use Fletchling, I really recommend having them around level ten when you fight. Yup
it knows quick attack. No big deal though. It's easy to take down, she has one potion,
it also knows bubble, so careful if you're bringing in fire types to this. Oh yeah, and
she's showing that now. So yeah she's not gonna use the potion on the Surskit. Yup.
That's pretty easy, you're... if Surskit gives you a hard time, the your starter should
be easily able to take out Vivillon at like level eleven or twelve-ish. Uhh, I'll keep
it in. There we go, I'm gonna use peck. This is a... yeah Vivillon... It uses harden sometimes,
I don't understand why, it has a pretty big defense though. I guess that's why. Yeah,
uhh, starters, Chespin. If you have, if you chose Chespin, I really, I guess, you should
probably bring uhh both Pikachu and Fletchling to this fight, or bring Simisear instead of,
I mean uhh Pansage, instead of one of like those, if you want. Which is also a good choice.
I wonder if she's gonna use the move I was gonna talk about, whatever, it also knows
a move known, um called infestation. There it is, think of it like a bug type version
of like poison. Uhh, it means that you can't run away from the battle. Which you can't
do in a normal trainer battle. I don't know if it means that you can't switch out because
she just destroyed poor Fletchling. But uhh, yeah, it means that you can't run away from
a battle, so I guess if you're trying to catch a wild Pokemon that's good. She gives you
the TM for it, for beating her. She's probably gonna use her potion now. Yeah. But special
attackers are good, if you, oh wait I already said that. Eugh, I don't what I dunno, not
much to say in the early battles because uhh, it's literally just people hitting each other
until Pokemon faint. But uhh... I don't know. I guess something I should mention is that
I always use the same amount of Pokemon that the gym leaders use, just because it's a thing
that I like to do. You know what? I'm gonna take this chance to test whether or not it
can switch unless, bubble, oh no I can't. Whatever, I'll just put it up in an annotation,
I'll search it up on smogon or something. There, level up, easy experience. Just make
sure you're prepared or else you'll probably get wiped like I almost did. I'll be honest,
four out of my six Pokemon were wiped to the ground but all of them were level 6 or under.
Tadah. All right, next gym is, I don't know, because I don't remember. But I guess I shouldn't
spoil it if you're just trying to stay unspoiled. All right. There we go, okay, see you next
time.
