Hello my name is Scott Soller, yoga instructor on behalf of Expert Village. Subtle Pose is
where from the kneeling position, we roll the calves out to side and try to sit between
the heels. Use a towel or a blanket if you need to. Then start with you knees wide, but
eventually bring the knees and thighs together. In this position, with hands at the soles,
the elbow comes down and then the other elbow take time here to stretch out the thighs.
And when you're ready you separate the elbows, start to come down, you might rest the crown
on the ground and then the back of the head and then the shoulders, extending the arms.
This is a tremendous stretch for the front of the thigh and the stomach meridian. Don't
your belly be loose and practice releasing and letting go into the sensations. Let them
spread, let them flow. When you're ready to release the pose, hands to the ankles or heels,
press the elbows, the crown touches. Continue to pull from the abdominals to come up. If
you'd like as a counter pose, you can hold the heels and round. Inhaling up, exhaling
and release it.
