It feels like i've lived there for ages, like it does feel like home now like we were all talking in my flat the other day
saying it doesn't feel like home but now it does and all my stuff is there and my room is as messy as it is at home.
I'm Poppy Cartright and I've moved into Glenamara House.
I wanted to be in like a big flat with five plus people and this is six to eight I think in each of the flats
I didn't want to be too far away from the campus but i wasn't bothered about being on site, it's really nice.
There's nicely decorated rooms, not too scruffy or anything. Probably will be soon though.
I've been in the kitchen and seeing other people in my flat, I might meet some more people tonight though.
It feels a bit weird moving out, it just feels like i'm going on a long holiday though really.
It's a bit odd leaving friends at home but I've made new ones and they can come and stay so it'll be alright.
Erm yeah i'll Facebook people like wrote what flat they are in so i spoke to one girl Beth and Ollie.
I think it'll be OK as long as you make friends and everything then it should be alright.
I don't know I just didn't expect to get on with everyone so well so quickly, even though that's what everyone said before
like people who I know who have been to University previously.
I didn't actually think it would be like that but yeah I just feel like I've been here forever and known people forever and don't feel out of place or anything.
It's all great.
Erm I think it's great, i like it because it's a bit smaller than Leeds like in terms of everything closer together and also I'm living pretty much in
the city centre so it's easier to get home from being out or you can just walk into town and it's not really much effort.
I want a Geordie accent.
Erm yeah it was really good there was loads of free stuff and people just talking to you and trying to get you to do different things and promotions that sort of thing.
And there was free pizza.
No, not at all. I rang home on Sunday to ask for some money and that's it.
My Mum's texted me a couple of times but I've not replied.
I'd say that it's alright to be nervous because everybody else probably is as well, everybody is in the same situation
and even if you know people who are coming here then you've still got to make new friends and everybody's like that and because everybody feels like that it's easier to
make friends because anybody will talk to anybody else.
Glenamara House is a really good place to live so it's all great.
