Hello, I'm Robert Cheeke, president of Vegan Bodybuilding and Fitness based here in Portland,
Oregon. And today on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to do a tutorial all about being
vegan. In this clip, I want to briefly talk about how to raise your kids vegan, how to
raise them on a vegan diet. It's really important to understand that primary nutrition comes
from fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, seeds, so making sure they get a variety of all of
these things, and when they're old enough explaining why your having them eat a plant
base diet. Why we should be nice to animals, and why we should care about things like that,
and some of the environmental implications. And if your packing things like lunches, obviously
we're going to have lots of fruit and vegetables, but there are things like these vegan gummy
bears and animal crackers and candy, so if the kids do want to do some snacks at lunch
in addition to their whole foods, fruits and vegetables, things like that, there are some
vegan options. Basically, these things are without gelatin, without honey, without milk,
eggs, and dairy, and obviously no meat. These are snacks they can take along, and tag along
with all the other kids and it shouldn't be a burden or an inconvenience.
