The Minister for Public Services is making four articles accusing the Director of LABEH, Christopher Henry Samson
During the public proceedings, the judge presiding, João Ribeiro, heard allegations by the Minister,
about the accusations that the Director of LABEH falsified documents, followed by the declaration by the Minister
under articles 303 and 304 of Timor Leste's penal code, with a prison sentence from 2 to 6 years
These two articles came into effect on 7 June 2009, as accusations of the first crime, under articles 26 and 28 of Timor Leste's penal code,
for the second and third crimes, under these articles, the Minister alleged that the accused, the Director of LABEH, falsified documents.
In her declaration in the public proceedings, the Minister did not identify which documents had been made by the accused,
but the Minister alleged that the accused had commited the crime of falsifying documents
Meanwhile, the public defence also presented arguments to defend their client,
from accusations made in the declaration by the accuser, Angelina Saldanha,
the public defender, Cancio Xavier asked the judge to consider their client,
because their client had been prepared following the judicial process in court in Dili,
with the public defence, regretting the Minister's argument, wanting to postpone judgement,
because the main witness of the Minister had not appeared in court in Dili.
After the public proceedings, when asked, Christopher Henry Samson said he felt sad with the postponement of the judgement,
because even in 10 years, the Minister would not be prepared.
The decision by the court in Dili to postpone judgement, on the grounds that it needed translation of documents,
other reasons being that the testemony presented by the Minister, and therefore the judgement process for Christopher Henry Samson,
court Dili had been adjourned to 25 May of this year, although the public defence, Cancio Xavier, who had responded to the allegations against his client,
told reporters that the Minister of Public Services's allegations regarding the falsification of documents was too early.
