Hi, this is Sarah from Blackbaud.
In this video, we'll look at how you can use Suggested Content parts to encourage website users to visit other areas of your site.
When users visit a web page with a Suggested Content part, the part displays links to other pages on your website
that most closely match the tags and user interests you select on the Suggested Content part.
As you update content on your website, the part automatically updates its recommendations to reflect your changes.
When you create the Suggested Content part, you select the number of recommendations to display
and specify whether to display them side-by-side or vertically stacked.
Under Tags to include, select the tags and user interests to search for when the part determines what content to recommend.
Tags are keywords that you use to describe the content on your website, while user interests are attributes that are associated with constituent
records. By default, the Suggested Content part includes all eligible tags and user interests.
To remove one, click the corresponding red X under Include. To add it back, click it under Exclude.
The Suggested Content part uses your selections to determine the content that it recommends.
For tags, the part assigns points based on how often website users view other content with those tags and how recently they viewed it.
For user interests, it assigns points for each match to a website user's profile.
The part then recommends the content on parts with the most points.
For your Suggested Content part to be effective, you must associate tags and user interests with the parts on your site.
Otherwise, the Suggested Content part cannot recommend the most relevant content or keep its recommendations up-to-date.
To associate tags with a part, open its editor and select the Tags tab.
To create a new tag for the part, enter the tag in the Add tag field and click Add.
To use existing tags with the part, click Existing tags and interests and click the tags and user interests that you want to include on this part.
As you select tags for the part, they appear under Tags currently attached to this part.
Finally, to allow Suggested Content parts to include the part in searches for content to recommend,
select Include on Suggested Content parts. If you do not select the checkbox, Suggested Content parts will ignore the part when they
make recommendations. That's all for this demonstration.
