We practice agriculture trying to take care of the environment,
trying not to use chemicals,
not to use harsh products,
which could harm the earth or the harvest.
We mostly plant fruit trees,
interspersed with other crops.
We have also planted vegetables,
planted grains.
And above all we work with a lot of love,
and that is what the land appreciates.
We share our experiences,
we share our difficult moments
from the work in our fields.
We bring our families into this work.
It is always good for everyone to help out,
and we do the same in our cooperative.
We get along like a big family,
where we support each other,
and help each other and share the tasks.
We need to create a mindset for bringing people to the countryside.
There are people who don’t want to work in the field.
My work, my painting, is based on that.
On carrying the message of peasant pride,
of getting involved in agricultural work.
- “Can we get on?” - “Yes, yes.”
“Do you sell those?”
As of now, what interests me most
is promoting art,
in order to approach people.
For people to see, in this simple art,
work in the fields, the peasant’s simplicity.
Honor those who respect peasant traditions,
the roots of our countryside.
This is what I do, I am not selling the artwork.
Only trying to spread it,
to bring people to the countryside.
Well, one day it occurred to me to paint.
Paint the experiences of our fields,
paint my entire world.
Paint the roots which come through my family’s tradition,
from my parents, from my grandparents.
But that painting is thought-out
so it may be a message for all those who can see it,
to get as many people as possible to work the land,
for them to see in our fields
that health which our humanity needs,
because food has to get to everyone,
and has to get there in the healthiest and most balanced way.
So I paint my world, I paint the farmer, I paint the hoe.
I do ceramics. Everything dedicated to the rural world.
And here I am, working and giving a little bit more of myself
for this healthy message which emerges from these lands to get to everyone.
Not only my harvest my food, which I produce here,
these grains, these vegetables,
but also my art.
For all those who can hear me,
all I want is to invite you to contribute a part of yourselves
and not lose hope, that our Mother Earth is there,
and all that is left is for us to plant that little kernel,
she will help us grow.
