I think Southern Miss is really special. You get to meet people that are like you and people
that are a lot different from you, and you really learn a lot about yourself. I kind
of fell in love with all the oak trees and the feel of the place. I like to wake up pretty
early whether or not I have class just because I like to get my day going. I go down to Starbuck's
and have a cup of coffee. I have evening classes and morning classes. I'm on the Delta Gamma
Honor board, so I have to go for double meetings. I try to work out sometimes. I hang out with
my friends. Southern Miss makes it a point to make everyone feel special. from the time
you get here you meet your RA and your RA helps you around. They will do anything for
you, they even decorate your doors. Before I started actual classes my freshman year
I already had gotten to know a lot of people through different programs like G.E.W.W. You
get to meet a lot of different people. I also did the Dixie Darlings, so we had band camp
and I got to meet all these different individuals. Some of my best friends come from my freshman
dorm. The girl that lived right across from me, we became best friends and my roommate
and the girl beside me, we were like the Three Musketeers last year. We strive to reach all
of our ambitions every day. All the people at this school have so much potential and
everyone wants to reach it. So we're just climbing that mountain all the time. Everywhere
on campus is going to facilitate you on what you need to do to reach the top.
