It's not just a digital picture frame, people.
It's a Digital Media Frame, and it's made by Toshiba.
It's got all the goods, and I'm going to tell you all about it.
So don't go anywhere.
Take a look at this Toshiba Digital Media Frame,
and I'm so glad we're not calling these 'picture frames' anymore.
Because it is not a picture frame. It is definitely a media frame.
It's for your videos, it's for your photos.
You can create slideshows in so many different ways.
You can load your music on here. It can be an alarm clock.
It really has so many different features that I'm glad Toshiba recognizes that,
and calls it a Media Frame.
So here it is, people. You are looking at it.
It has a 10.1-inch LDC screen with a 15 x 9 widescreen display,
and that's an 800 x 480 resolution.
1GB of built-in memory, which is a pretty good amount of storage,
but don't worry, you can also load your SD or SDHC card on here
and play all of your videos and your photos that way.
The best thing about this frame, in my opinion, is the built-in Wi-Fi.
It comes equip with 802.11 b/g wireless. And it's really great.
It has this feature called Frame Channel where you can actually add widgets on here
for your weather and your sports scores and your stocks,
and you can pull all your photos, actually, from Facebook.
So you don't even need an SD card or to use the internal 1GB storage.
You can pull everything via the Wi-Fi.
Also, if I didn't mention this before, clock, calendar, alarm, slideshows,
and it takes not just SD and SDHC cards, but also MMC cards, XD cards,
MS cards, and Memory Stick Duo cards.
So you have a lot of different options here, which is great.
You also have stereo speakers so when you're playing your MP3 files and your WAV files,
you're going to hear them in pretty good quality.
Also you have touch sensor keys. You also have this remote control.
But the touch keys are really, really easy to use,
and I'm going to show you just how easy in a second.
But it also has a built-in accelerometer, which is really cool
because I actually haven't seen that before in a digital frame.
And, you know, with just one switch, like so,
the screen changes to, you can either have landscape or portrait view
with this built-in accelerometer. Go back like this. You can see...
There we go. We're back to our landscape view.
But that's pretty cool.
So let's go into this Toshiba. Let's dive right in.
And we're going to give you a tour, we're going to go through all the different menus,
and I'm going to show you what this baby has to offer.
So again, you have a 10.1-inch LCD screen.
And this is actually a widescreen with a 15 x 9 aspect ratio.
And it has a glossy finish, and overall this frame just feels very durable.
And it will be a perfect addition to either your desk or let's say a nightstand
or, you know, a table top somewhere in your house.
Now let's turn this frame around back.
There we go.
Right here, this is a stand, and it's removable
in case you want to hook this Toshiba onto your wall, you also have wall mounts as well.
But right now we have it on a stand.
Let's turn it to the side here.
All right, so you have your power. Right there. There's your power.
Right here you have a USB 2.0 port, and you can put a Flash drive in here,
and actually load all your photos that way.
Moving on up, right here you have your mini-USB port,
and that is to hook up to your PC and transfer all of your files.
And last but not least, up top here is your headset jack.
There you go. Now you can see it.
And let's go along to the other side.
Here we go.
So right here we have our power.
Right here we have our card slot for our SD or SDHC cards,
and down below is for your Memory Stick and your Memory Stick Duo cards.
And right here, you will see, it's a WPS,
and this is how you, with one touch, you can actually hook up with your Wi-Fi,
and it doesn't take much time at all.
You don't have to go through any of your settings.
It's a one-touch activation, which don't mind that at all.
All right, so let's turn back around front, actually.
Now I, actually, really, really liked using the remote control.
However, the one-touch buttons are really, really easy to use.
And you'll see them along side. Here we go.
They will illuminate with one touch. And let's go into the different options.
Starting with Mode. So, by pressing Mode either on the remote control
or using your one-touch Mode button up top,
you can actually go into all of your different features.
So, you can view all of your photos in Thumbnail view.
And let's take a look at that now.
And it's going to pull all my photos actually from my SD card.
So you can actually go one by one,
look at all your photos if you're not in the mood to see a slideshow.
All right, let's go back to Mode.
And you have different slideshow options.
Right now you can just do the typical slideshow.
You can actually set your slideshow to just display the time with your photos.
Or you can get funky and have a thumbnail view,
and have your photos actually in the time. Very cool stuff here.
All right, let's go back to Mode.
And let's go on down. You can actually view your photos by themselves, one at a time.
Your clock and calendar, typical stuff. Thumbnail view, we showed you.
Videos, now there's something very important to note with Videos, all right?
Your videos, unless they are an MPEG 1,2,or 4 file, they're not going to play.
Ok, AVIs don't work on here. I tried to play a bunch of AVIs,
but they don't work. It has to be MPEG.
You have a typical demo and right here Online Service.
And we're going to go in to Online Service, and I hooked up an account on Frame Channel.
I went online and did it really easily, and I decided what widgets I want.
And as you will see, when I go into my Frame Channel,
it's going to pull all my widgets from online using the Wi-Fi.
So right now we're in Frame Channel, and it's pulling my photos
straight from my Facebook account.
As you can see this is a picture of Bauer from tour.
Also I hooked up my Frame Channel account with eventful.com, a widget,
so I can keep in touch with what concerts are coming into town.
So right now it's telling me about a concert that's coming up.
See what it goes to next.
Now you can wait for the slideshow or you can actually use the remote control
and forward through different things on your Frame Channel.
But this is another photo from my Facebook account.
Let's see what else.
Oh, here's what I was talking about with the video. This is actually an AVI file, ok?
And this frame is not going to play an AVI file. It has to be an MPEG 1,2, or 4.
This is actually from National Geographic, one of the widgets I downloaded.
So it's going to put some beautiful landscape scenery photos on my frame.
See what's next.
Here's some more photos from the National Geographic widget.
So there you have it. This is the Toshiba Media Frame, not picture frame
because it does so much more.
It does videos, music. It's a clock. It's an alarm.
And it has built-in Wi-Fi, which is the coolest part of it all.
So, check this Toshiba out. I'm Sam. We'll see you next time.
