Bobby: Hi everybody! Bobby McGee here
from bobbymcgee.com. And uh...I'm sitting here again with a..
Ross Tucker, brilliant sports
physiologist and uh...
and scientist
and uh...
he is a... got a fantastic website called The Science of Sports, so check it out.
And today we're gonna just talk briefly about uhm...
something which i call the K pump or the potassium pump.
And we're gonna just trying to find that, and then just see why we are seeing
improvements with athletes that use that kind of training.
Russ: Yes uh...
the k pump which you referred to was...
I think the term originates from the guy who did some of the really
interesting research on it. He's scientist called Bangsbo.
And he's a he's a molecular scientist ah...
his...his paradigm people must understand that
when...when scientists are trying to find a mechanism to explain why something
happens
they are always strict by that paradigm.
And because Bangsberg is involved in that side of looking at what
happens at the molecular level of muscles.
