NICK LAZZARINI: Hey guys.
I'm here with the beautiful and talented Lindsay Pearce.
You may know her from The Glee Project, Glee, and starring in
Spring Awakening here in LA.
So you've had a really big year.
LINDSAY PEARCE: Yes.
NICK LAZZARINI: Tell us how your life has changed since
The Glee Project.
LINDSAY PEARCE: I moved out to LA in May of last year, and
have been here since.
And I lived with Hannah for a while, and just me
and Damien and Sam--
I mean, everyone that lives out here has been hanging out.
And then we got to promote the show for the summer and be a
part of the big fan base that went around the show and to
really celebrate the show and celebrate the
people that watch it.
It was cool to be a part of the Glee family but also still
be in that kind of fandom and to have our
foot in both doors.
It was really, really great.
And we got to meet a lot of people and connect
with a lot of fans.
And then I got to be on Glee, which was a dream come true.
NICK LAZZARINI: Now, your character, Harmony
is a bit of a diva.
How was it like having maybe that little bit of a diva off
with Rachel Berry?
LINDSAY PEARCE: Harmony was kind of supposed to be the
catalyst that introduces the school to Rachael.
It's kind of interesting to see that it's Rachel's
character if Rachel went completely haywire.
LINDSAY PEARCE: Now, you've been doing musical theater for
a long time, right?
LINDSAY PEARCE: Yeah.
NICK LAZZARINI: Pretty much all your life.
So have you been able to pull from any characters that
you've met through all of your musical theater training?
LINDSAY PEARCE: It's so interesting.
Having gone from Glee Project to go into the character of
Harmony on Glee because Glee Project, the way that the show
kind of was twisted and morphed-- and
not a lot of it was.
But the way that some of us were, it's interesting to see
how they incorporate what we were on Glee Project into what
we are on Glee now.
To read what Harmony says to Rachel and Kurt, I was dying.
And I wasn't allowed to tell many people, but I called my
mom, and was like, you will not believe what this girl
gets to say.
It was kind of funny that she's a theater nightmare.
And I am so in love with theater, as are many people
that watch Glee--
to watch her and be like, oh my god, I hate that girl.
I hate that person.
So it was fun.
It was fun to play the hated person.
