your account dot com slash david patten show
you condone it your twitter followers or face book followers to the show don't
worry we have no access to any of your information we got a couple hundred
people doing this
and it's uh...
pretty fantastic at the site
and make sure to do all your amazon dot com shopping through the banner on david
packing dot com
because that's an easy way to support the show
to study it into these i don't know what else to say
uh... i want to talk about
occupy wall street briefly and we've been hearing so much from republicans
about
occupy wall street having absolutely no coherent message
if there's any better indicator
income inequality
is
very clear message that we're getting from occupy wall street it's that
republican eric cantor
actually brought it up unprovoked in a way that
really wasn't laughing it off has not ended up i wanna play this clip for you
because he he brings it up and i don't agree with any of the reasons there are
things he's giving his solutions to income inequality
but eric cantor
a republican of up completely
typical insider republican is bringing up income inequality
as a problem take a listen and and what we know in this country right now
that they're is a complaint about folks at the top and income scales that they
make too much into many don't make enough
what we need to book going chorus those at the top of the income scale to
actually put their money to work to create more jobs so that we can see a
closing of the gap delaware about income are closing of the gap
eric cantor actually saying i'd i disagree with how he thinks we should do
it but he's actually saying yet income disparity is a problem here so isn't
this evidence i mean carol this this occupy wall street protest
has really been coherent in bringing this income inequality which is
incredibly big it and it's a it's a canyon
in the united states
i think it brought into the mainstream eric cantor is talking about
but what do you think's going to come back a half under discussion he's
actually saying that black
it it seems to me that he's completely gonna lose his based
by making that statement i think that i just wish that we realized
how big of a situation as well as it always only been over the last couple of
weeks i realize that their people who've been there for weeks
i did not i've thought this was a situation where
they were kinda like coming back every day
they have been keeping this out of the news where act against you'd almost like
the liberal economy did not mainstream but
i don't know i don't even know what to make it and saying that no you're
absolutely right that there's been a concerted efforts a lot of corporate
mainstream media interest speci air a lot of the same relationships they have
a lot of relationships with the wall street companies that are being protest
against so they kept at the news as long as they could
it became impossible because it became so big i don't think eric cantor loses
base just by mentioning income disparity
because what he's suggesting as a way
to resolve it allow
of poor people in america to rise to become the owners of their own hedge
funds uh... it's just insincere and i don't think you'll lose is based at a
just it's not going to work
but i don't think i i think it's just that the fact that republicans are even
talking about it i think is a big deal
however
i would consider that a victory for occupy wall street
