After six games without a win, Steve McClaren has decided to step down as coach of Dutch
side FC Twente.
In a statement on the club's website, McClaren said: "The club is bigger than any one individual
and Twente is too big in my heart to stand in the way of its progress."
The 51-year old returned to Twente for a second spell in charge after short stints at German
club Wolfsburg and English side Nottingham Forest.
McClaren led Twente to their first ever league title in 2010 during his first period in charge.
