hello this is Jeff with NCDB
I wanted to show you a couple of new features that we've implemented in the
Wiki
recently and our hope is that these features will help you organize Wiki
content in a way that is more meaningful to you and
your users. The first these features is how to
reorder wiki pages and wiki categorise. So
to reorder wiki pages within a category I just go over to the strip of
dots on the left and my cursor changes to a move cursor as you can see
I simply click and drag and drop
the wiki page to where I would like it within the order.
There's nothing for that you need to do it automatically saves.
Now for reordering
wiki categories you actually need to go into a wiki page
and go into edit mode click on Edit categories
and the same thing applies here you just go over to the strip of dots, click
and drag and now category 1
as above category 3 which is how we want it. Let's throw category 2 up there
and it automatically saves, so we'll close
let's go look at our wiki and indeed category 1 is now above category 3.
So the second feature I'd like to show you
is menus within wiki pages. Now sometimes wiki pages can get pretty long
and it's nice to provide your users with the menu to
get them to various places on the page quickly. So the way you do this
is to label your content with an H2 header
so we'll that here, and you highlight that
go up to your formatting button, click Header 2
and let's go scroll down here
and give ourselves a second header
make it a Header 2 and now let's save.
Now you can see a wiki page menu button has popped up
and it gives us links to Header 1 Header 2.
so if we click to Header 2, oops went out of frame there
it scrolls down to our Header 2 right there.
So as you go through your wiki page can you add header to tags
to your content it will automatically build
this wiki page menu right here. So those are two new features we hope to help you
organizer content a little bit better and make life simpler in the wiki
thank you
