Welcome to Hayward Park, a historic neighborhood
walking distance to downtown San Mateo with tons of charm.
Mostly untouched by development, Hayward Park maintains its
original charm and historic feel.
The neighborhood is characterized by its tree-lined
residential streets and it's an easy walk to the most popular
park in San Mateo, Central Park, and the city's vibrant downtown.
Bordered by El Camino Real to the west,
South B Street to the east, 10th Avenue to the north,
and 17th Avenue to the south, Hayward Park is full of
attractive vintage homes built during the first 3 decades of
the 20th century.
Homes in the Hayward Park neighborhood are either
typically Mediterranean, bungalow,
or Craftsman-style and range from about
1100 to 1500 square feet.
You'll also find some Tudors and English cottages that were
popular during the 1920s.
Another perk for a potential home buyer is that Hayward Park
has its own CalTrain station at Leslie and Gum Streets.
Neighborhood children attend Sunnybrae Elementary School,
Borel Middle School, and Aragon High School.
So there you have it, Haywood Park.
