When pilgrims come to the tourist office they have usually obtained their Compostella in the pilgrim's office
and their main worry is where to stay
We inform them about pilgrim's hostels in the city or
in case they prefer to sleep in a hotel, the different options they have
Pilgrim's think about coming, but not always about how to go back home
so some times they ask about means of transport
if they have a bicycle how can they send it or take it with them back
There are pilgrims that once they are here decide to stay as a common tourist
They have walked the Road and now they want to know Santiago
so they ask for the same information any other tourist demand
What to do, what kind of touristic activities can they do (guided visits, day trips)
We monthly print a journal with the cultural agenda of the city
, so we can inform them about concerts, exhibitions, museums and all kind of cultural activities
Santiago has an active cultural life, so there is always an interesting concert, or a street activity of interest
It is difficult to recommend a particular activity
because Galicia is wide enough and people need different things depending on personal circumstances
We have a day trips program, so people can visit any place in Galicia and get back to Santiago in the same day
We inform also about that trips
Anecdotesů well there are not many
I'll rather call it difficult situations, for example, when a pilgrim came with his donkey asking what to do with it
Sometimes that's a little bit tiresome. But we always find a solution.
