Making a sweet foot Valentine.
So I am starting off with a piece of cardboard and some photo paper.
And I'm drawing on a foot on the photopaper.
The photo paper is used because it soaks up marker so well and still leaves a vibrant
color.
So I'm just making some pretty good sized toes.
And then the inside of the foot is just an inverted S.
Now I'm drawing in the toenails
There you are.
And some detailing on the toes.
You can put greater than, less than signs on the toes and it looks like creases.
I'm shadowing the foot with some pink.
And then I'm going to cut it out
While I'm cutting out the toes, I'm going to leave big slits so that the toes can be folded back. Messages will go under the toes.
Don't know what happened to the heel. It got a little warped.
And on the cardboard I'm drawing a very general outline of the foot. It is going to be the flip flop.
I don't use the word thong anymore. People just get confused
Ok I then just cut it out
I set the foot on top of the flip flop. And with some more photo paper, I'm going to make the straps of the flip flop.
I'm going to overlap the two straps
and draw on the general shape that the straps should be.
kind of like a curved V
And then I'll cut out the top piece
And leave a little extra room for the strap
Then while holding them together, I'll cut out the bottom piece.
Now that they are overlapped, I'm going to staple them together to the flip flop.
And then I'll staple the straps to the flip flop
I'm just going to write on the strap, "Lift the toes"
Crease the toes but not too much so that they lay flat when you're done.
I write a little message under each of the toes.
I bet you can guess what I'm writing.
probably not the last part though.
Ok and just insert your valentine in to the envelope. And you're ready for Valentines Day!
