Aquaponic system: grow bed with bell siphon
The pump in the fish tank brings the water in the grow bed
The water from the fish tank fill the grow bed. Then the bell siphon lets the water go back to the fish tank
You may notice the substrate consists spheres of expanded clay and the water that rises gradually
The water reached the level of the tube begins to flow in the tank below
The "bell" allows to create a vacuum and suck up water from the grow bed to the fish tank
Then, the grow bed empties gradually increasing oxygenation in the water
On the surface of the water can be noted the duckweed, an integral part of the diet of goldfish
In the bed of cultivation are different tomato seedlings resulting from growing in the ground
