Exploring the Learning Path. Here's a snapshot of the Learning Path. There are three main
components: Your child's first name, your child's Learning Path journey, and a summary
of your child's recent play sessions. First, we'll explore the path view. LeapFrog's Learning
Path is driven by LeapFrog scope and sequence. Developed by educators, in conjunction with
state curriculum standards, LeapFrog scope and sequence is a database of skills your
child will encounter at various stages in their education. Each of the stepping stones
on the path is a general skill area for your child's grade level. From spelling to creativity,
all general skills are represented by a stone in your child's path. The colors of the stepping
stones each represent a different subject, like social studies, or science. If the stepping
stone is colored, it means that your child has a LeapFrog product that teaches this subject.
If the stepping stone has a footprint icon on it, it means that your child has engaged
in at least one of the skills in this subject area. Star icons indicate that your child
has engaged with every skill within the subject area. Shooting star icons indicate that your
child has engaged with a skill above their age or grade level. Information in your child's
Learning Path is updated every time their LeapFrog connected device is connected to
the computer, or when you update your child's Learning Path with a new LeapFrog product.
To learn more about the skills that make up each stepping stone, click on the stepping
stone, and a window will appear showing the skill stones that make up that skill. Clicking
on a skill stone will bring up a window detailing what is needed to learn that skill. The left
column represents skills that appear in your child's current LeapFrog products. The right
column represents those skills that are not present in your child's current LeapFrog products.
The play details page is another way to look at your child's engagement with their LeapFrog
learning toys. Here, you have a detailed account of what your child has been playing with,
and what skills they've been learning. To learn more ways for your child to engage in
these skills, check out the activity time section. The LeapFrog Learning Path also works
with non-connected LeapFrog toys. Want to learn how to create a Learning Path? View
