Weekly Ezine Transcription / 24 Jan. 2013: Keep Your Commitment To Yourself
Hi. This is Tara Marino with Elegant Femme, and this is take two of this fascinating video
because the first one you only saw my nose. So, I am on the way to the train, and we have
a little bit of a bumpy ride here so bear with me, they are actually doing some construction
in Canaux. I'm on my to a fashion show in Paris. I got an invitation, and it's tonight.
We say yes to these opportunities as women, right? So, here's what I want to talk to you
about.
I told my team that I would get in our video newsletter by today. Now, what could I have
done; I could have said oh no I'm going to go to Paris we are going to have to postpone
it. Here's what I want to talk to you about, how important it is for us to keep our commitments
to ourselves. It's one thing to say yes to the outside world; to your spouse; to your
friends; to your kids and not follow through; that's one thing, but it's a completely different
thing when you say yes to yourself, and you make a commitment to yourself and you don't
follow through. You know those big dreams that you have; those big desires that we have
as women, and when we start to step into them we feel afraid, and sometimes we hear a little
voice that says, tsk I know you couldn't do it. Have you ever heard that voice before;
I knew you couldn't do it; I knew you wouldn't make it; I knew you wouldn't follow through.
Follow through for me has become one of the most important things in my life, and here's
why:
When we allow ourselves to keep our commitment to ourselves, we build our self confidence.
So I want you to feel into this with me for a minute. What is it that you have recently
committed to? Maybe it was taking a walk in the light, maybe it's calling that client,
maybe it's calling that friend or journaling, or reacting differently in a situation. When
you've made that promise deep down inside of you, you must, must do whatever it is you
can do to allow yourself to follow through. It may not be perfect, right?
I'm in a car right now driving to the train station. We use that excuse of, oh I can't
do it perfectly right now, so I'm not just going to do it at all. Don't utilize that
excuse. Truly, when you allow yourself to follow through on what it is you said you
would do for you, it raises your self confidence. So those big dreams, those big desires, that
little haunting voice that says you can't do it starts to change because every time
you do follow through, your confidence builds and you find yourself feeling a little bit
closer to the big dream, and find yourself in essence trusting yourself more because
you do what it is you say you are going to do. This is one of the most valuable things
I can share with you, and I'm going to give you a little view; a little tour of Canaux
as we are arriving at the train station.
And here's what I want you to do. I want you to comment below, and I want you to share
with me what is the commitment that you are going to make and keep for yourself. It doesn't
have to be some big huge thing; in fact I would really invite you to start with some
of the little more things maybe which have huge impact; huge results like the walk, or
your journaling, or that client; whatever it may be; allow yourself to make the commitment
inside and then follow through. I look forward to hearing from you, and I look forward to
seeing how you're going to allow yourself to step into this commitment and keep it so
you can raise your self confidence and step into those desires. I'm with you, alright?
Let's give a little tour of the; yeah it's not this pretty right? We're at the train
station. I had a prettier view earlier of the mountains; where did that go? Here we
are. Ok so that's not so fascinating we're at the train station in the city but here's
my beautiful husband, you can see him.
Have a gorgeous, gorgeous week. Remember to follow through and keep that commitment. I'll
talk to you soon.
