Hi! - Hi!
Here I am with Abbey (LaChicaDelAnden) and we are about to enter
the second Illustrator exhibition created by the collective Ilustra, in Murcia (Spain).
First, let's talk about who is behind this event:
Ilustra is a collective born with the purpose of making illustrators visible in Murcia.
It also acts as a link between them.
Despite being created not so long ago as a result of the previous exhibition
there's more than 240 members on the Facebook group
and many events open to the public have been created since then.
As you can see, this has been the second edition of the illustrator exhibition, organised by Ilustra.
More than 40 illustrators got the chance to make themselves known
by displaying and selling their work at the "Cuartel de Artillería" in Murcia.
But the group goes beyond that by proposing a space filled with many activities
for both children and adults.
puppet-making, bookbinding and animation workshops among others
lectures about work dynamics and so much more...
Moreover, many of those were free, inviting curious people to enter and take a look.
We were also delighted to see a great Art Toy exhibition!
Those are limited edition toys created by designers and artists.
CartonLab played their part with cardboard furniture and ornaments.
Some of them turning out to be unique pieces after being drawn over by the illustrators.
The exhibition also had a cafeteria section and there was live music
with the performance of Trinidad and Tobago and DJ sessions.
I thought the reception was awesome and I hope that more and more events like this will be done in the future!
Here are some illustrator cards I got from the exhibition...
And the final results I got from the secret belgian binding workshop.
Well, we just left the exhibition...
And it was awesome - Yes, it's a shame it had little promotion...
And that's it, I hope you like this video...
Also, the press article Abbey will probably write!
You'll find it in the description box! - Yeah, it will be put there...
So this is it, see you in the next video, bye!
