Now that our noodles are ready, we can drain in the water out cause we are not making our
noodle soup, we're making a cold salad. In order to make the noodles cool, you need to
put them in the colander and then run some cold water over them. We come over to the
sink and get some cold water running then. We'll pour the water through the colander
and you can just go ahead pour all your noodles right into the colander. You're going to toss
them around while you run cold water over them. This is a great dish for the summer
time because it has plenty of fresh vegetables in it. About 30 seconds to a minute of running
cool water over your noodles and allowing them time to drain and they should be nice
and cool. You just transfer them to your plate. We're going to cut them up cause sometimes
it can be hard to enjoy a noodle salad, cold noodle salad. Anyways, I'm just using my trusty
fork and the same knife that I cut my tomato with to cut these long Ramon noodles into
bite size pieces. Another way to do that is just break them up before you cook them but
I find that sometimes when you break up your own noodles too small, they will slip through
the colander when your cooling them down, so we just cut them now.
