Honestly, my father in law just one day said "You should be a barber and these are my reasons
why:
You like talking with people, you're thorough when you do things. You're very very nitpicky
on details. You could be a great barber."
And I thought, "Well, why not?"
There isn't an easy one two three step from,
Hey, I'm a musician....now I'm a barber but when you have a wife and a child that you
want to care for you need to provide for them and a lot of times when people ask,
"Oh, why'd you become a barber?"
I always say "to make money" and they always laugh and they think it's funny but it's really
the truth.
One thing that I loved when I was a musician was going around the country and seeing different
people and how they lived. Kind of getting a different perspective on how they thought
and how they went about their business.
When I first started going to barber school, it hit me like a lightning bolt. This is better
than music because I just have to stay right here and people come to me and they can be
from all over, like, people come from all over.
Every step of my life has been an evolution. It was a change that needed to happen at the
right time. You're passing along good with your life, whether it's skateboarding or public
speaking or music or films or whatever you want to call it.
Doing something so good that others want to do something good as well with their life,
that's my goal.
