Hi. I'm Amy Warkentien with Expert Village and I'm here to explain the first step of
our craft which is making the frame. So we need our black construction paper, our scissors
and our pencil for this part of the craft. So we'll just get the rest of this stuff out
of the way. Now, we're going to make three hearts. I'm going to fold this paper in half,
not the long way but the short way; to make it a little easier for me to cut out my three
hearts. And I'm going to make three different sized hearts; a large, a medium and a small
heart. So to make, to cut the steps in half I'm just going to make them all inside of
each other. So I'm going to use my pencil to draw out my hearts so that I'm sure that
I don't make any mistakes. So, I drew the outside of a heart and now about an inch in
I'm going to draw another line and this is going to be the frame that the tissue paper
is going to go inside.
So, when I cut this out I'm going to cut along here and here and so this next part is going
to be my medium sized frame. I'm making another heart inside, about an inch in again. And
then our small heart we'll make another line another inch in. And if this isn't perfect
it doesn't make a difference. So now, go ahead and take your scissors and cut along the lines.
If you're free handing this you just you know, start right from the beginning just cutting
out. So
now I'm going to follow the next line for my big heart. And you can use separate pieces
of construction paper if you want to or you could use smaller hearts. Obviously this one?s
going to be kind of large. So, here's my medium heart and my small heart. Okay, so we're done with that step. Here's
the large heart and here's the medium heart and here's the small heart. And our frames
are done.
