Hi, this is Jonathan. In the past week, I've given a presentation on how to Master Your
Delivery. And I really enjoyed the atmosphere since it's so relaxing and we had lots of
interaction in the coaching session. That's really cool! During the Q&A session, there's
a girl with a pony tail, I think she is a high school student, with eye glasses. And
she just looked at me and said, Well Jonathan, you have mentioned that storytelling is so
important. But can it be applied in school presentations? Seriously? You gotta be kidding
me! I just looked at her and said, Well, what's your last presentation topic? And she said,
Nutrition labels. Wow! And I asked her, My friend, do you prefer somebody say nutrition
labels are very important because of reason 1, reason 2, reason 3 (*Blah*) or storytelling?
For example your personal experience. You did not care about the labels at the very
beginning, ate a lot of junk food and your health was not good. But later on, a doctor
tells you that these nutrition labels are very important and you realize how great the
importance is. See, isn't this more convincing? The other way you can do is Experts. Maybe
you have heard some experts and he may be your friend or she is on TV. And you have
learnt that it is very important to pay attention to these nutrition labels. Your health has
improved a lot. See, with the emotion elements and of course the logic, these 2 can really
help you give a powerful presentation.
