Hey Gigi!
I'm just gonna warn you, I don't know anything about vlogging.
But...
If I'm gonna ask everyone else in the town to make their voice heard...
Gotta lead from the front, right?
Phew.
Anyway, because you asked,
this is me using Domino to tell you how I come up with new ice cream flavours.
Uh...
Since I first opened the shop, most of my flavours come from customer requests.
Or, what there was a lot of at the farmers' market this week.
Or a combination of the two.
Ask someone in town to tell you about bacon avocado ice cream sometime.
I still don't think it was a bad idea.
You just didn't wanna eat a whole cone of it.
But...
The first time I came up with my own ice cream flavour,
I was really just trying to put one over on my mum after Halloween.
Oh, and it's super easy to make! Um.
Here, I can show you! Uh...
Actually?
Let me set my laptop up on the counter.
That way you can see what I'm doing without me having to
move the phone around with my ice cream-y hands!
Wait, Domino can cut the footage together, right?
See, when I was a kid, after I'd gotten in my Halloween haul,
my mum would either let me have one piece of candy for dessert,
or a scoop of ice cream.
I figured, if I chopped up a bunch of candy bars and put it in the ice cream,
I could have both!
Now that I'm a grown-up, I make this for myself after Valentine's.
When all that chocolate goes on sale.
You wanna let the ice cream get a little soft
before you start pounding on it with the mixer,
just because it's easier on the motor.
But, obviously, not like, melt it.
And, that's it!
Scoop it out into a container, pop it in the freezer for an hour
so to let it firm up again, and serve!
Top with whipped cream, caramel, fudge sauce...
Or...
A shot of Kahlua's really good too.
So, anyway, Gigi, that's Trick or Treat ice cream!
I hope this turns out OK.
Oh, and I'll see you in the shop for craft night, right?
