Hello. My name is David Gelber. I represent the Hilo ultimate Frisbee community and I'm
here to do a little talk on an ultimate Frisbee on behalf of Expert Village. The game is played
on a field approximately the size of a soccer field. The length of the field is 70 yards
long with two 25 yard deep end zones on either side. And then the width of the field is 40
yards wide. The game starts by one of the opposing teams kicking off or pulling the
Frisbee to the other team. Of which there are seven men or women or a combination on
either side. Once the Frisbee is holed or thrown to the other side. The other time catches
it. Once they've caught the Frisbee they try and throw it amongst themselves. Working it
down the field to catch the Frisbee ultimately in the opposing team's end zone to score a
point. At any time during this play if the Frisbee is intercepted, it falls on the ground,
goes out of bounds or the Frisbee player is stalled. Meaning that the Frisbee player,
the thrower has it more than 10 seconds than that's a turn over and immediately play starts
going the other way. So the people that are on the offense now become on defense and start
having to defend against other team going back towards their end.
