Personal injury law has changed, actually considerably since i started almost
eighteen years ago.
The laws have changed to, unfortunately, limit access to the
courtroom
for the victims of negligence. And I say that because there has been a run of
tort reform law changes.
Some of them, I'll be the first to tell you, were done for the right reasons but
many of them
have resulted and closing the courthouse doors for folks, like you, who are victims
of a negligence, a negligent incident and their family has been wronged
by the negligence of some other entity or person.
That has been the biggest change since I began practicing some eighteen
years ago.
There's no question that we still have rights so we can pursue. There's no
question that we still can get to the courthouse
and pursue those rights in front of a jury of our peers, which is the way the
system set up to work.
Unfortunately, there've been limitations put in place that have
made that a little bit more difficult,
that have maybe dissuaded
victims of negligence from pursuing their rights. And here at the Leon Law Firm
that is what we're about, "Protecting the rights of your family."
