KEITH: "As an artist, I'm always trying to reinvent myself, push myself farther. This
project has really forced me to look into
further avenues of expression, I'm working on direct screen printing onto
glass, I print enamels
onto the glass which can then be fired and permanently fixed onto it.
It's really inspiring that I can do self-directed research and learn a whole
process and then execute it and have products." VICKI: "We have several fellowships that students can apply for.
There are $500 fellowships that are available during the academic year
that they can utilize for supplies for their projects.
We have a $1500 fellowship available
for the summer time.
It's a little bit more money because they are expected to spend a little more time on the
project, but they can use that as a stipend to pay themselves."
KEITH: "Getting this research grant has been key in allowing me to do this. Without
the program, I wouldn't have even been able to progress because
a lot of materials necessary, they're very specific and they get expensive. Without
the support of the Undergraduate Research Program, I wouldn't have been able to do this at all."
