Hi this is Brenda and we are continuing with our stenciling project. Let’s say for instance
today that we would like to work on a pillow and it is fall and we would like to put a
leaf on this pillow. So we get our stencil that we made earlier of a leaf, get our pillow
and position here on top of our pillow. Today we are using rather than acrylic paint we
are using fabric paint for this project. I chose a little brown and a little orange for
this project. We have our stenciling brush of course. We dab off the excess. I’m using
two colors today because I like using several colors in a project. Just begin to dab, dab,
and dab. Like this with our two colors and sometimes the paint sinks down into the pillow
or the cloth that you are working on so you may have to keep going over this project several
times to make sure that you get the paint on here that you like. Hold the paint brush
like this. This brush goes straight up instead of an angle and dab, dab, dab rather than
using strokes as though you were painting a picture. Don’t do that. Just keep the
dabbing motion going. Get into the little corners of the leaf. You can come back later
on if you like and add some other colors to it if you would like to do that to make it
stand out more.
