Hello, this is Jacob Winkler. I want to take this time to send love, prayer
and blessing to everyone affected by the tornado in Oklahoma.
It's so hard even just to see it happen to other people, but to go through it yourself,
to just lose everything so fast... To lose people that you love, lose your house, your
whole city... I think it is so hard to hear about it happening
to someone. You feel powerless in that there is nothing you can do.
So aside from sending whatever money you can to help those who are suffering, what you
and I can always do is send our intention and our prayer.
I believe this is so much more powerful than our worry and our fear and our sadness.
If you want, you can lift your hands with me and just imagine. If you know someone in
Oklahoma or that there is one image that you saw which particularly moved you, just imagine
that person, safe, knowing that they are loved and supported even through this horrible tragedy.
Imagine them having a house to go to, a beautiful house, in a beautiful town. Imagine them surrounded
by people who love them, family and friends. Even if they are mourning, even if there is
so much sadness and loss, that they know they are not alone. They know that people all over
the country and all over the world are praying for them, thinking of them.
Then let your loving intention spread out to other people in Oklahoma who have been
hurt by this tornado, people who have lost their families, their friends, their homes.
Just embrace them in your love and in your care.
Like I said before, you can be so charitable but that prayer is something we can do throughout
the day, day after day. It's a way of not carrying so much sadness, or using that sadness
to increase your compassion in your faith and in your trust.
The more that you pray for these friends and families of ours in Oklahoma who have lost
everything in the tornado, the more that you pray for them and imagine them, knowing that
they are loved, that they are safe. At the level of the soul, we are all safe
always. We are so loved knowing that they are cared for, that everything will be provided
for them. There again, although we need to do whatever
work we need to do, our life comes from God and every moment and all we need for our life,
comes from God. We send the people of Oklahoma, this knowingness, this sense of peace that
they are safe; they are loved and cared for. They will be provided for, nourished, supported
and the more that we pray for them, whenever the feelings of sadness rise up in us, the
more that we come to realise and understand that whenever, God forbid, we are in the situation
that is so challenging and awful that there are others who are praying for us and we are
supported by them. And so you can use this tragedy, this disaster,
to become more and more compassionate, more and more tender hearted and loving. Not plagued
down by the sense of sadness or despair or powerlessness.
I believe that when you are in the prayerful place of sending love and compassion to those
who are suffering, to the people of Oklahoma who have lost everything in this tornado,
you are in a place of tremendous power. You are joining with the holy intention of so
many people, so many saints, so many angels. You are joining that beautiful loving intention
that truly heals, truly makes a difference. And now let this light that flows from your
heart and your hands and your prayer, let it encompass, not just the people from Oklahoma,
not just this tornado but anyone in the world who is suffering from a natural disaster or
from fear or from grief. To anyone who is feeling despair, apathy or hopelessness. To
anyone at all who is suffering or who is afraid. Let your hands and your love and your prayer
encompass the whole beautiful spinning planet and all of its children and all of its people
and just pray and wish and intend that everyone be at peace, and know that they are loved
and know that they are safe and that this soul cannot be destroyed or harmed.
And make sure to include yourself in this embrace. Any fears or worries that you have,
send to yourself the love and compassion and safety that you need right now.
I encourage you to do this simple prayer whenever you need.
Thank you so much. Goodbye.
