I love '57 Chevys. To me, it's just a piece of American history. It's an American icon.
I like hot rods and I always wanted a '57 hot rod when I was growing up. So my son,
Guild and I researched '57 Chevys for probably a good eighteen to twenty-four
months before we decided to buy this one. We did it together and had fun, looking at
ads and so on and so forth until we found this one that we really, really liked.
Guild and I flew up to Washington to pick this car up to drive it back. We had a seven
day road trip that was the best father/son experience you could ever imagine. We drove
it down into Bend, Oregon. We went down to Crater Lake. We went through a zip line camp,
the Oregon/California border. We drove it down through Highway 1, the Great Redwood
forest, drove it through the tree, which was fantastic and then went down to Fort Bragg
and picked up some stained glass at the beach. Then got her home and had just one of the
most memorable experiences I've ever had with my son. He certainly won't ever forget it.
This is our family weekend cruising car. We love hanging out in this thing.
