Hey guys, what's up? Z the Wolf here, hello and welcome to my review of Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods (Enhanced Edition).
This review is going to be a short one. It's because I said pretty much everything in my review of Gothic 3.
If you didn't see it then check the description of this video for a link
The first very annoying thing. Gothic 3 had few endings and this game is only a continuation of one of them.
I just find it ridiculous to give players a choice on what they want to do and then continue only one way
of beating the game.
Oh, and one thing I forgot to mention. Forsaken Gods is a stand alone expansion to Gothic 3.
It means it doesn't require you owning Gothic 3 to play it. You just install it as a separate game.
So we simply get slideshows showing us what happened when our hero was away. And then he comes back to fix everything.
Seriously, was it a nine year old kid writing the story for this game?
It's even worse than in Gothic 3. And so are dialogs and quests.
Like the boring story wasn't enough we won't even really get to explore new locations.
The game takes place in Myrtana, some things have changed here and there, but no real major changes.
Combat system is just as terrible as it was, nothing new to say about it.
Soundtrack is exactly the same as in Gothic 3. I must say that the graphics have improved a bit.
But nothing too noticeable. Hero's hair looks better for one.
When the game was first out it was so bugged that people decided to call it "Forsaken Bugs".
It was much worse compared to when Gothic 3 was out. Thankfully, playing Enhanced Edition I didn't really encounter any serious bugs.
And there is nothing more interesting I can say about Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods.
I am giving this game two out of ten. It just doesn't really offer anything new
Sure maybe new quests and new items. But for me it's simply not enough, especially when the story is so boring.
So I would only recommend it to those who REALLY enjoyed Gothic 3. If you thought that Gothic 3 was a fail...
If you only finished Gothic 3 for the sake of finishing the franchise... Then Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods is waste of your time and money.
It wasn't even made by Piranha Bytes. Forsaken Gods was developed by Trine Games.
And that's pretty much everything I have to say.
So thank you very much for watching my review. Please like the video if you enjoyed it, and subscribe to my channel if you wish. And I'll see you around.
