Yoyoyo, what's up. I am B-boy Ay.
I am from Sanchong-Taipei, I've been dancing for 15 years.
I was familiar with ice skating before I started to dance. I remembered one time my brother & I saw people battling dance moves AND saw them doing headspins on the street which really blew our minds at the moment because we never saw scenes like this.
I was so amazed by the headspin on the floor, and my brother also wanted to learn how to dance so we found a dance teacher named A-don the time I began to learn breaking.
I used to go to a place called Doobies when I was little, to see a DJ called Chicano, I often watched him use turntable to play great music to everyone.
If it wasn't under this kind of music influence and guidance, I may not enjoy dancing to the music as much as I do now.
The early dancing environment in Taiwan was much different from now. We went shopping and dancing together as a crew, if we bumped into another crew on the street, just like what you'd see in the movie, we played our music and two crews started to battle all of a sudden.
There were limited parties and high school dancing events years ago. Now the environment has become better that we have one dancing event per week at least, and everyone gets more chances to perform on the stage.
We need to be very well prepared, as opposed to the past events. Get ready with hardcore practice. Only the top dancers will get the chance to be on the stage.
The competition today is very dope, the venue is very underground, the crowd is ready, and the b-boy is ready.
The winner today had participated in the competition in 2007, and a few years after, he made it through the three-time trial, he made it, congratulations to him! 0:03:41.000,0:003:55 .000 My goal has always been to be No.1 in Taiwan, and my dream is to become the Worlds No.1 B boy.
Stick to your goals, be persistent. Believe in yourself and that you are the winner. You've got to follow the music, music will guide you through everything, including your moves.
What's fascinated about B-boys is that they can do incredible moves with difficult physical angles. The most difficult part is that these moves were still connected with music matching the tempo & beats, fitting its melody while moving. This is the most amazing, the most incredible thing about B-boys.
Try to be strong enough to state who you are, and when you state who you are, I cannot show you what to do, like, everything is easy, cause I have won the competion for twice, so believe in what you are doing, believe in your goal, and keep presenting it to Taiwanese people!
Yeah, this is the spirit of B-boy. B-boys are simple, persistent, passionate. If you ask me how long I am gonna dance? I will keep dancing till I die.
