Today we will get new albums from the Killers, Jet and Evanescence,
our attention in the quick ECG review goes to Papa Roach, Noxire and Beer Belly.
The debut album of the latter, named Noric Kingdom,
has a proper title for the group, who searches Celtic influences
on the Slovenian soil.
We all know that Celtic tribes used to live on the territory of present-day Slovenia.
That is why, when we were choosing the name for the album,
we wanted to link the Celtic culture with our nation and our band.
Noric Kingdom, for all of those who don't know yet,
is the first state which also included present Slovenian territory.
The name therefore simbolically links the Celtic culture with Slovenia,
with the Slovenes who play Celtic music.
The four-piece band gathered Celtic influences in arrangements of traditional reels and jigs
and in some material of their own.
The bagpipe lines are played on the accordion.
Due to a complex musical composition, the group has chosen for a specific way to record the album.
First we had to find an appropriate place, as we all play acoustical instruments,
and we also wanted to get the proper acoustics from the room.
So we had to go in the middle of the winter in a...
What was it, actually?
- It was a hall.
With high ceilings, to get good acoustics.
- And then we had to set up microphones correctly to get the right sound.
It was interesting. We got the first album, new experience, and now we know how to proceed.
The idea is to promote the album in Irish pubs.
We will also try to promote the album abroad,
where that kind of music is more popular.
In Germany for example, there are more than 1500 Irish pubs,
or in the Netherlands, where more than 100 folk festivals take place in summer only.
So, in general...
we will also try in other countries in Europe.
